The Eastern European University of Applied Sciences in Bialystok (Wschodnioeuropejska Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Białymstoku – WANS), formerly known as the Higher School of Finance and Management (WSFiZ) and the Higher School of Physical Education and Tourism (WSWFiT), has been one of the leading non-state universities in Poland for many years. The Academy is based in Białystok, with a branch located in Ełk.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023, WANS is one of the universities writing a new chapter in the history of Polish higher education.
