ERASMUS+: WANS cooperates with the Erasmus+ Bialystok InnHUB Innovation Center

The Erasmus+ InnHUB Innovation Center – a regional office of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE) – National Agency for the Erasmus+ Program and the European Solidarity Corps – was opened in Bialystok on November 22.

The main role of the Innovation Centers of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Program is to promote European educational programs and the possibility of obtaining funds for the implementation of projects that are related to the modernization of the education system or strengthen the development of professional competencies of people of different ages and professions. To date, such offices have been established in Krakow, Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Lodz, Wroclaw and Opole. Białystok is the eighth city in which an InnHUB has been established.

The new unit is to serve the city and the entire region, as it will not only be an information center, but also a place for training and workshops. According to Katarzyna Kochaniak of FRSE, anyone can take advantage of the Erasmus+ program’s offer. Today the Erasmus+ program has as many as six sectors and is available at every stage of education – from kindergarten to universities of the third age. The center is open to pupils, students, teachers, researchers, representatives of local governments, NGOs, employers and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises.

– We are very happy that another InnHUB of the Erasmus+ program has been established in our city – admits Dorota Sokolowska, PhD, Pro-rector for Education and Foreign Cooperation of the Eastern European University of Applied Sciences in Bialystok. – We hope that the presence of this entity in close proximity to WANS will increase the internationalization of our university. Today, the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ benefit not only our students, but also our employees. We believe that our cooperation with InnHUB will result in many other equally valuable initiatives – she adds.
